Dr Eressea Cross
Supervising Clinician
B.App.Sc(CompMed) MOsteo
Eressea graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Complementary Medicine) in 2007 and a Masters of Osteopathy in 2009. Prior to this, she completed a Certificate IV in Massage. After graduating, Eressea worked as an Osteopath in Whittlesea and in Canterbury, before settling in at WRH in 2012.
Eressea treats every patient as an individual, tailoring specific treatment and management plans. Eressea loves the diverse range of techniques that Osteopathy has to offer and always aims to treat the body as a whole working unit, rather than just focusing on the pain. She uses this approach during treatment to address the underlying causes of the problem to prevent re-occurrence.
Eressea is passionate about education, and believes strongly that educating people about their body provides more opportunity for her patients to manage their own health effectively. She particularly enjoys treating chronic conditions such as long standing headaches and neck pain, along with an interest in treating babies and young children.
Eressea has also completed her Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education and is a Lecturer in Osteopathy at Victoria University. She supervises in the Osteopathic teaching clinic, along with teaching across first and fifth year subjects. She is also part of osteopathic curriculum design and is planning to contribute to osteopathic research in the future.
When she is not at work, you’ll find Ress spending time with her family, reading a good book, listening to her favorite comedy podcasts and drinking great coffee in Melbourne.
