Alanah completed her studies at Victoria University with a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Sciences) and Master of Health Science (Osteopathy). Alanah grew up in Melbourne, meaning she is an avid follower of all sports. She excelled mostly as a runner, competing in cross-country and athletics and represented her club and school teams in the Australian National Championships.
During her final year of study, Alanah travelled to India where she undertook her internship working in a hospital, working alongside other osteopaths, physiotherapists and radiologists to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This experience allowed Alanah to develop new skills and grow as a practitioner.
Alanah enjoys treating all conditions from young children to the elderly, but has a keen interest in treating headaches and posture related injuries largely due to her personal experiences in these areas. She also has a passion for treating low back and hip complaints as she understands there debilitating nature, and uses a holistic approach to ensure that her patients receive the best care. Having always been active in her own health, Alanah loves to set goals and educate her patients to empower them to be actively involved in their own recovery and see them get back to the activities they love doing. Alanah is also trained to use Dry Needling techniques, Shockwave Therapy, and is also one of our Clinical Pilates instructors.
In her spare time, Alanah enjoys the opportunity to travel and go snow skiing. She loves to explore both the countryside and beaches that Victoria has to offer and will never turn down a camping trip. She is frequently running, seen brunching with friends or watching the mighty Hawks!
